HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department in collaboration with others would engender academic programs and farming practices that are aimed at meeting the challenges of sustainability in Agriculture.
The driving philosophy of the programme is to train qualitative, technically skilled and proficient graduates. It is also expected that, experts in Agricultural Economics should be responsible change agents in the communities.
Objectives of the B. Agric (Economics and Extension) are to:
* Produce well articulated Agricultural Economics and Extension graduates.
* Produce technically skilled and proficient graduates that can create employment.
* Produce graduates that would complement government effort at food production.
