1. Who is eligible to participate in the screening?
  • All candidates who chose TARABA STATE UNIVERSITY as their First Choice in JAMB
  • Scored a minimum of 150 in UTME
  • Possess at least five (5) O’Level credits including English and Mathematics
  • Have completed their application payment
2. How do I access the online screening portal?

Visit: https://apply.tsuniversity.edu.ng/register.php

Use your JAMB Registration Number as Username and choose a password

3. What documents do I need to upload?

You’ll need to upload clear scanned copies of the following:

  • O’Level result(s) (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
  • JAMB Result Slip
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • Indigene Letter
  • Recent Passport Photograph
  • Direct Entry candidates: ND/NCE/A’ Level result(s)
  • NIN
4. Is there a deadline for the screening?

Yes, the portal is open on the 1st August, 2025 and will close 15th September, 2025.

5. I made a mistake while filling my details. How can I correct it?

Most portals allow edits before final submission. If you’ve already submitted, send a complaint to the support email or visit the admissions office.

6. Will there be a physical post-UTME exam?

Taraba State University, Jalingo conducts online screening exercise only.

7. How will I know if I’ve been screened successfully?

After submission, your status will be marked “Screening Completed”.

8. How will I know if I’ve been admitted?

Admission status will be available on:

  • JAMB CAPS Portal
  • University Admission Portal

Ensure you accept your admission on CAPS when offered.

9. I am a Direct Entry candidate. What applies to me?

DE candidates must follow the same portal process but upload their advanced level result(s) such as ND/NCE/HND/A’Level.

10. I have more than one sitting of O’Level results. Can I combine them?

Yes. You can combine two sittings only, as long as all required subjects are covered.

12. Can I apply if I did not choose the university as my first choice?

Only candidates who chose Taraba State University as their First Choice in JAMB are eligible. However, you may do a Change of Institution on the JAMB portal and re-apply.

13. I changed my course/institution on JAMB but it’s not reflecting on the portal. What do I do?

If your JAMB score is 150 and above, allow 24-72 hours after effecting changes on JAMB before trying again. If it still doesn’t reflect, contact admissioncomplaints@tsuniversity.edu.ng with proof of the change.

14. What should I do if the portal says “Oops! Your name is not found on the Jamb List, please contact the administrator”?

Ensure you typed it correctly. If the problem persists, it may mean:

  • You are not yet in the school’s JAMB list
  • You chose a different institution

Contact support with your JAMB result and registration details.

15. Can I log in and complete my application later?

Yes. You can save your progress and return to complete the application before the deadline.

16. What is the passport photo specification?

Your passport photo must be:

  • Recent (within 6 months)
  • White background
  • Not more than 100kb in size
  • In JPEG/JPG format
17. Can I use a mobile phone to complete the screening?

Yes, but it’s strongly recommended to use a computer for better visibility and ease during document upload.

18. Will I receive a confirmation after submitting my application?

Yes. A confirmation message will appear on the screen.

19. I forgot my portal password. What do I do?

Click “Forgot Password” on the login page. Follow the steps to reset your password using your registered email or phone number.

20. How do I know if I uploaded the right documents?

After uploading, preview your submissions. If they appear clearly, then they were successfully uploaded. You can also edit or replace documents before final submission.

21. Do I need to print out any document after submission?

Yes. Print and keep the Screening Acknowledgment Slip or Application Summary Page. You’ll need it for future reference or clearance.

22. What happens if I miss the screening deadline?

You may lose your chance for admission that year. However, the university may consider late screening, usually with a penalty fee—if announced.

23. Is it compulsory to upload my JAMB result and O’Level on JAMB CAPS too?

Yes. You must also upload your results on JAMB CAPS for your admission to be processed. Visit any accredited CBT center to do so.

24. I am having technical issues. What should I do?

Try:

  • Switching browsers (Chrome is recommended)
  • Clearing your browser cache
  • Checking your network connection
